Washington Capitals superstar Alex Ovechkin recently signed a new endorsement deal with Nike for apparel, and is widely expected to sport Bauer equipment for the upcoming season, considering that Bauer is used to be a subsidiary of Nike, Inc., and Ovechkin had been known to switch to their gear on occasion in recent years. It doesn’t hurt that the Washington Post reported seeing him in Bauer equipment at a workout session this morning in D.C.
Adding fuel to the speculative fire, Bauer just posted the following video on their website… and boy those yellow laces look familiar, don’t they?
It sure looks like Bauer is ramping up for a major PR push of their new poster boy, eh?
