The National Hockey League has a new job posting available this morning, as they seek to hire a Programming Coordinator. This is an opportunity to get your foot in the door on the broadcasting side of the NHL, and the position is located in New York City. It sounds like a great job for someone relatively new coming out of college, but perhaps with some internship experience in the broadcasting field:
The ideal candidate for the position should have a strong interest in the National Hockey League brand and sports media. They must possess strong interpersonal skills and be a team player. Business writing skills including presentation development and the ability to work in a fast paced environment and being able to meet tight deadlines a must.
What you don’t see in those requirements are phrases like “X years of experience”, or “MBA required”. While I wouldn’t quite qualify this as “entry level”, it certainly reads as something pretty close to that.
