He won the Art Ross Trophy five times as the NHL’s leading scorer, and after a 15-year NHL career which included two Stanley Cup championships, it was assumed that Jagr was done with North American hockey when he joined the KHL for the 2008-2009 season. This year, however, he came back, joining the Philadelphia Flyers and putting together a very respectable 54-point campaign, turning 40 in mid-February. Marian Hossa scores 400th goal in NHL career (with Video)

Tonight against the New York Islanders, however, Hossa added another milestone to his NHL career, by scoring his 400th career goal, becoming just the 85th player in NHL history to accomplish that feat, in this, his 925th regular season game.

At the pace he’s going, by the end of this season he has a shot at hit 500 career assists and 900 career points (needing 44 to hit both). He has 53 games remaining to hit those marks. But tonight is about congratulating Marian Hossa for this major achievement.
