The Vancouver Canucks have a new job posting available, for a Technology Director within their Information Technology (IT) department.  Reporting to the Vice President & CFO of the team, it looks like a great opportunity for a seasoned IT professional to get their foot in the door of a major NHL team. Here’s an excerpt from the job description:

…oversees the planning, design, installation and integration of arena and business technology infrastructure and solutions across all departments and throughout the arena venue. The position directly manages the IT team, Broadcast Technical, and Audio Management teams. In addition, he/she will provide leadership to an inter-disciplinary technology team and will act as a consulting resource for senior leadership as well as various departments in the development and implementation of leading technology solutions within the business departments, arena and inter-related facilities.

The Vancouver Canucks have a temporary (until September 2012), part-time job available in their Brand & Creative department, for an Image Resource Coordinator to help manage their still images. Here’s an excerpt from the job description:

Acts as project coordinator for image-related Brand and Creative jobs, including establishing work plans, preparing work-back schedules, managing timelines and flow of project content with internal and external contributors, organizing client content, as well as communicating project deadlines, project status, content needs and client requirements to the whole project team.

They do want someone with a sharp eye for detail, and excellent communication skills, as this involves dealing with photographers as well as media entities.
